Hello, my name is Sarah Horner. My journey started back in 2009. I was searching for ways that I could look younger naturally. Commercials and influencers tend to promote products and services that made me question if it was really the best for my skin. That is when Grass Orchid was born so together we can build the right regime for our skin. I chose Aveda, because of their natural philosophy, to obtain my Esthetician License. I graduated in 2010 at the top of my class, and continued progressing from there. One student that I took classes with, their relative, was a sugar waxer in Mason City. I visited and learned what sugaring was all about, and I was intrigued. I went off to Chicago to get my Sugarist certificate from Alexandria Professional. I am one of the first to get certified in Hydrafacial and Microcurrent. I am a certified 5 star Practitioner learning under Nerida Joy; Acne, Rosacea, Iridology and massage. I was honored to join Yakov Gershkovich and learn his Natural Sculpture Lifting Massage. In all aspects of life, learning is a continuous process, the same goes for the skin care field. As time continues more and more information is being put online about products and services that would better your skin. AyanoSugaring ExpertAyano started her waxing salon in Japan in 2011. After several years of experience as a waxer, she wanted to try something more gentle for both skin and the environment.
In 2019, she introduced sugaring into her salon. Most of her waxing clients appreciated how natural the sugar paste is and how much better it is for the skin! In 2020, she became a sugaring Educator, helping other estheticians perfect their sugar craft. At the end of 2020, she moved to Iowa from Japan with her husband. After attending Aveda Institute to get an esthetician license, she joined the Grass Orchid team where she continues to share her passion to educate the benefits of sugaring unwanted hairs! |
